From 2025 onwards, GFSSM will introduce the distinctive and demanding Lenghu Rocket Launching Challenge as part of its offerings for primary and junior high school students.

This new addition enables students in the higher grades of primary and junior high, with a passion for aerospace and STEM, to engage in the globally recognized GFSSM's youth innovation education programs. Exceptional teams will have the opportunity to demonstrate their academic prowess and personal charm on an international platform at the GFSSM's high school tier.

Join us from July 22-28, 2025, at China’s premier dark sky reserve in Lenghu, Qinghai Province, for the 2nd Lenghu Rocket Launching Challenge and the inaugural U18 Global Youth Rocket Launching Challenge. Under the theme “ASTRO QUEST: The Heart of Exploration” , this event invites young innovators from around the world to:

  • Engage in cutting-edge aerospace engineering challenges
  • Develop customized rocket prototypes through hands-on workshops
  • Compete in precision launch trials at Asia’s highest-altitude rocket testing range
